WATCH: Nicola Coughlan takes us on a revealing backstage tour of the Bridgerton set

Netflix has released footage of Nicola Coughlan, one of the stars of the hugely successful Bridgerton, taking fans on a tour of the period drama’s set.

Nicola Coughlan plays Penelope Featherington in the show, which has become the most-watched Netflix original series of all time since being released on Christmas Day. Aside from the gripping plot and ample romping, Bridgerton has become known for its style, from the colourful 19th century costumes to the big hairstyles donned by many of the characters.

In a four-minute clip released by Netflix yesterday, Nicola guides viewers through the whole process from hair and make-up to the corsets which she stresses are not made for performing jigs in.

We also get to see Lady Penelope in her casual wear as the Derry Girls star shows us around her trailer and those of her co-stars.
