WATCH: This Irish comic sums up perfectly what it’s like to watch Love Island with an uninterested partner

Fiona Frawley

We all know the feeling.

Having to patiently explain through clenched teeth: “yes, it’s on every night. Yes, they literally spend 24 hours a day talking about their type on paper. Yes, I know they’re all idiots”. All so your partner can revel in what a great lad they are for being so totally above the trials and tribulations of reality tv. We all deserve medals, tbh.

Dublin based comic Emma Doran has been killing the social commentary game with her vids over the past couple of years, and this one depicting the tough road all Love Island stans must trudge throughout July and August is no exception.

I personally am seriously considering getting “I did hear what you said I just didn’t think it was funny, she’s ACTUALLY been on a journey?” tattooed on my lower back. Works in so many different scenarios.

Does your heart also sink when you see your other half saunter into the living room at 9pm, expecting to watch some sort of ~match highlights~ or old eps of Rick and Morty? Honestly, the sooner they admit to themselves they’re just as obsessed with the villa antics as we are, the sooner we can all move on with our lives. Can I get an amen?
