We spotted Carrie Bradshaw with a certain Irish novel in her apartment

We love to see Irish literature get the recognition it deserves.

Filming is well underway for the reboot of Sex and the City. And Just Like That has kept its audience up to date with all the comings and goings on set, from fashion to interior design to new characters. Yesterday we got a sneak peek into what Carrie is currently reading, which holds significant importance as she is a famous writer. Well, we were even more delighted to see one of her reads was an Irish novel.

Carrie’s reading list includes none other than Naoise Dolan’s Exciting Times. This novel is getting a lot of traction lately – in August it was announced that Phoebe Dynevor (Bridgerton) would be playing the lead role of Ava in the TV adaptation. It seems only fitting Carrie would be onto such an iconic novel. Better yet, it was Sarah Jessica Parker who chose this novel to be apart of Carrie’s collection.

It’s unlikely this inclusion will hold much bearing when it comes to the plot of And Just Like That. Nevertheless, we’re excited to see it.

We’ll have our eyes glued to Carrie’s bookshelf.
