TG4 are showing a horror classic tonight to wrap up this miserable Monday

TG4 are screening 2002 horror film The Ring this evening and it sounds like the ideal way to wrap up this miserable Monday.

Judging by the weather forecast, this could be the first of many consecutive nights which would be best served cosying up on the sofa with a good film and tonight’s choice on TG4 should provide some scares and nostalgia in equal measure.

If you’ve somehow gone 18 years without seeing The Ring, it basically tells the story of a journalist, played by Naomi Watts, who investigates a seemingly cursed videotape that kills anyone who watches it seven days later. Creepy, right?

Not as creepy as Samara, the ghostly girl who torments our protagonist throughout the movie but to be fair, Daveigh Chase who played the child seems a lot less frightening these days…

You can catch Daveigh in her most famous and terrifying role when The Ring airs on TG4 tonight at 9.30pm.
