This Video Of Ireland Took Two Years To Make — And The Country Has Never Looked Better

seank

Timelapse videos have a mesmerising effect as it is, but when you couple that with the sheer natural beauty of Ireland’s landscape you know you’re going to make something special.

That’s what videographer Colm Keating has done with Timeless Ireland, a timelapse video which took him two years to complete.

Keating captured footage around the country in order to create something which, he hoped, would inspire young people to take advantage of Ireland’s great outdoors. It’s certainly worked on us, at least.

Among the locations that feature in the video are Dublin, Glendalough, Derryclare Lough, Sheeps Head, Gougane Barra, Mourne Mountains, Wicklow Mountains, Hook Head and Achill Island.

Timeless Ireland

There’s an epic quality to the video, making Ireland appear far more vast and wild than we’ve come to think of it. It gives us a whole new perspective on our island.

For those of you interested in the more technical aspects of the video’s creation, Timeless Ireland was shot on the Nikon D750 and D7100 cameras with a variety of lenses and filters by Haida.
