WATCH: The Angelus Went Full ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Last Night And We Love It

The tradition of The Angelus playing before RTÉ’s Six One News is as Irish as pints of Guinness and bowls of shamrock. 

But last night, instead of the usual auld lad putting his hammer down for five seconds of reflection, RTÉ went down a whole different road.

They channelled their inner Guardians Of The Galaxy with this delightful little clip of an adorable baby tree monster similar to the character of Groot from the popular film franchise.
