Derry Girls fans will soon be able to tour some of the show’s most iconic filming locations

Have you always thought of yourself as the unofficial 6th Derry Girl?

If so, you’ll soon be able to feel like you’re part of the gang with this new day tour launching next  month.

According to the Independent, the tour will be available from November 6th and will run from Belfast to Derry, travelling to iconic filming locations now synonymous with the show. Stop offs will include Guild Hall Square, where Bill Clinton made his speech at the end of season 2, famous walls and the hilly walk the Derry Girls take each day to school.

The tour will be run by Hastings Hotels and McComb’s Coach Travel. Julie Hastings, the marketing director of Hastings Hotels told the Independent a bit more about what fans can expect from the tour:

They will be able to visit some of the most famous filming locations and enjoy an afternoon tea with a twist that has been inspired by the show and includes sausage roll baps, fresh cream horns, a cone of chips and Tayto cheese and onion sarnies.

As far as afternoon tea menus go, that’s definitely up there. We’ll just have to make sure we don’t do anything to get ourselves barred from the chipper by Fionnuala. We’d never recover from the shame.
